Raced a skyline R33
God you guys are gullible. Someone just happened to be driving around in the US in an R33 Skyline just looking to street race someone at the same time that his 10 second RX-7 was being test driven by some guy.
This is the biggest bunch of bull**** I have ever seen in my life. He just wants to offload a car on someone that he blew the engine up on. He can say it went as fast as he wants to in the 1/4 mile. Once you rebuild the motor and it goes nowhere near that fast, then you must not have had it built right. Hell, why not say that it went 7 or even 6 seconds in the 1/4 mile?
And why can't you sue this guy that was test driving your car? Oh yeah, because he's imaginary and it didn't freeking happen!

After my dealings with people that say they will buy something from you, esp a car, I think the following movie sequence from "Clear and Present Danger" should be kept in mind. This was the flick where Jack Ryan (Ford) goes to Columbia to battle the Cali Cartel. It went something like this.
(scene at Bogota company)
Jack Ryan: "I'd like to rent the Huey(helicopter)"
Co owner: "I'm sorry but we don't rent it anymore"
Jack Ryan: "Oh..."
Co owner: "But it is for sale though..."
Jack Ryan: "How much"
Co owner: "Two million dollars"
Jack Ryan: "Well my pilot and I would have to take it for a test flight"
Co owner: "Oh that's fine, you just have to leave a deposit"
Jack Ryan: "How much is that"
Co owner: "Two million dollars"
I never do test drives, but I'll give a test ride if the potential buyer wants to see it run, feel it go down the road, etc. However if anyone out there does do test drives, just tell the buyer you need a deposit
