the day that he tuned his 07 STI i was there. A pretty impressive note is that when they removed the funny looking plastic "sound supressor" from his air box the STI picked up 10whp only from that...

I am curious to see what numbers he got with the racegas he had with him to tune!

07 STIs are nice, much more luxurious than the EVOs and definitely WRC looking which i like and of course the boxer has amazing sound.

However i am not impressed engine wise, as i would expect much more from a 2.5 liter engine...
Can you imagine the Evo with that displacement???

Could you imagine the STI with the EVO's turbo?

Same argument.

I'm assuming these runs were done on different days, where they exact same temperature?

nice driving for both cars.. but this is a good example of how much better a stock turbo evo is when comared to a stock turbo sti. the sti got a monster launch (thats what they do well) .16 better than the evo, yet the evo finished .2 faster and trapped 5.3 mph higher (thats what they do well). the filter makes almost no difference and the ap2 is similar to a mbc. Bottom line evo is still faster than the sti. 07 or not.

I would love to see that actually. However, I still don't like the fact that the Sti engine is aluminum.
