20k to spend what car should i get?

how about a used RX-7 or 300Z? you might be able to get a supra TT or a 3000 GT for 20G.

Apparently no one bothered to care that you have a cap and want something new.

Go to edmunds.com and pick the cars in your price range, decide what you like of what is out there, narrow it down and then ask for opinions and you'll have better luck getting a real answer.

Isn't the ralliart lancer going to come in at about $19k? There you get awd and decent power. Might be worth waiting for.
