.... All kidding aside, I found that modifying cars can be a tricky thing. I spent many thousands on my first EVO and it was worse than wasted money. I did modify the MR I just traded with an exhaust and the XEDE and custom tune. The exhaust drove me crazy after a while and I put it back to stock. I left the XEDE in the car because of the hassle of taking it out....I think I'll leave the Vette stock and just enjoy it. It's hella fast already and handles like a racing car.
BTW, I have a set of practically new Hankooks on a set of EVO VIII wheels plus one extra wheel. I also have a really nice 3" B&B dp and a bunch of extra wheel nuts which I have no more need of....... The wheels are curbed so they are not so nice, but they are straight and quite good enough to drive on. The tires are all season radials and have more than 80% thread left on them..... Oh yeah, I have a stock EVO radio too....... Somebody please offer me a little $$$ and take these off my hands

20k+ the 05 MR doesn't seem like such a good deal though. I love the C6 but I don't think I'd get anything but a Z06. I've driven a friend of mines C6 Z06. Nice car, but not nice enough to where I can't wait a year or so when the Evo is paid off.

$20K out the door...... That's including around $1400 in taxes, plus tag & tile fees, etc. and a certified car.... They have to make profits, the dealership has a ton of people working there and prolly a huge overhead. I'd guess they made around $3K in profit before they divided it up.... Hell, the Nissan guys wanted almost that much on a 350Z.....
No, I'm not interested in potentially ruining a beautiful car. I can't even fully utilize the power of the stock 400 hp engine. Why would I get even more power? I'd guess the car will bring back more $$ after a few years if it's totally unmolested and stock.
well the corvette is a great car and would beat a midly tuned evo...but with cams and a good tune...its a pretty close one...i think that the corvette feels soo much faster is because of the torque...
but when i was a kid my dream car was a vette so i still have a soft spot for them...

No one else noticed... but this means you still have your miata..... So you have a 2 door 2 seater corvette... and a 2 door 2 seater Miata.... =\ I would have traded in the Miata and had the evo and the Miata but hey if you don't know more than 1 person that works.
The new C6 Vettes are actually the only american cars that I've ever been crazy about. The new Z06 is just flat out beautiful, love the flares on the body as well.

Thats the sickest color for a vette besides daytona orange. Get a new exhaust, to open that baby up, I love the rumble of a v8. Do you have any plans for it?
