I own an auto supra factory auto that is over 904 wheel hp (If i just bolt a manual in this car and redyno it's over 1000HP easy), boostlogic built trans.

Was tuned and engine built by Sean Ivey of Iveytune.com (Myself in the 3rd person!!!)

I have gone 9.6@148 mph.

I have ac, ps, leather and whatever no weight reduction. With 5 pt rollbar.

I regularly drive it around to work etc.

I have 315 drag radials in the rear, 17".

They are very fun cars and you can beat the hell out of them they are pretty reliable.

I beat big Al's *** twice with it already!!!

Sean

I say do it. You could always hitup Sound Performance and do one of their 3spd performance trannies. The car is definately clean and I would say go for it. Have a good leak down done b4 hand though.

I drove a 93.5 supra with a t-72 with auto..
I loved it for the first 3 weeks.. but then hated it.. tranny shifed hard ( stock tranny) with the aem , the car ate gas like ****..
the turbo on the car was way to big as the stock tranny can't hold anything over 400whp.

anyhow to the debate.. if this is a 2nd car I would do it in an instant and upgrade the tranny..

but as a daily driver I would say stay away as you will just get frustrated over time.

Wouldn't an auto Supra spool larger Turbos faster? Better for the 1/4 mile with no lift shifting and the turbo being fully spooled all the time?

auto is the way to go.....most of the drags are doing better times in the auto. all you need to do is get the tranny built eventually and it will be badass. im waiting for a friend to sell his turbo auto so i can buy it....

Hey Sean, got any pics of your Supra?

Put a GM turbo 400 and a 3500rpm stall converter and then you'll have something
