Chevy 2500 Duramax.....Ford F250 Powerstroke....or the Dodge 2500 Cummins....
Which is the best? I am only looking to spend no more than 30 grand.... so that obviously means it will be used and proly a few years older......I would like one that will give me no problems or minor if any. I like the Chevy for looks, second comes the Ford.

I'm a huge Ford guy, and the 7.3 Powerstroke motor is a beast. It will go for 100k miles and run strong. Plus it sounds great. Watch out for the 6.0l, from 2002/03, there were major recall issues with that year's motor.
I can't comment on the Chevy, never driven one.
Pre-2003 Ford interiors were pretty boring, though. They've improved in recent years.

i like the duramax the most looks wise and all.....but the chevys seem to be the most expensive ...
I saw a few that were 03 models with anywhere from 85k-100k for around the 25k price tag? Does that seem like alot?
I would like to stick around the 50k mile mark or less if possible, of course i also would like to be under 30 grand... also it has to be a ext. cab or crew

The trucks are all going to hold their value well because most people who buy them, are making money off of their use.
I'd get a 7.3 PSD and eventually do an '05 front end conversion and swap out interior pieces as they come available for something out of a newer King Ranch or the black FX4 interior is really nice.
The drivetrains in the 7.3 are as bulletproof as they come, the 6.0 didn't really work out as an improvement, but there were some suspension and steering rack changes in '05 that gave those trucks a better turning radius and crisper handling.

I have 0ver 165K on my 1999.5 F250 with the 7.3 and no issues. Change a sensor here and there. Its pretty much bullet proof. When you look at used try and find one that was just a daily driver (well just driven normally) not a tow vehicle cause you never know how long the tranny on any of them last when put under heavy load.
