When that translates to 398whp, yeah, it's a big deal. Imagine a RWD Evo with 400whp from the factory with 200 less lbs.

I would still miss the AWD traction of getting the holeshot, and not have to worry so much of "finessing" the throttle to keep the car going strait. They are very sweet though. Like Apple-pie and Baseball. Who's gonna dislike the vette!! You have a tough choice.........but either way, a Win-Win situation.

After the evo, the vette is the only step up in cars in my eyes

just what most people want is a 2 wheel drive evo.
factory or after market who cares. you can get 2 - 4 wheel drive evos for the price of that vette and with more hp.

I am 43, and am NOT READY to take such a plunge! I have to stick with the AWD, and make sure my mods keep the vettes behind me!

The point of my comment was not about having a 2wd Evo. The point is that you get ultimate performance right off the lot with a full warranty, legal and quiet exhaust, and the ability to add power in GOBS with only a few mods.

I have never had a Vette or any musclecar for that matter, but you simply cannot ignore the amazing abilities of Vettes nowadays. Coming from the factory with 400whp for 45k? You can get a new Evo for 30k and make more power with 15k in mods, but it's a lot more complicated (aftermarket clutch, loud exhaust, big turbo or at least meth/race gas, stressed motor). I love my Evo and consider it one of the best, but it's simply not better than a Vette (C5+), and the Vettes just keep getting better.

i also wanted new vette but after going to dealership and checked out price...im staying with evo.

for being 25, I can afford vette but its way too big investment.

I'm looking into getting 60s stingray. only $10k with great looks and american dream car =D
