vette on my mind
since this thread got me considering a 2008 vette, i went on edmunds.com and started poking around. the mark-up on them is a ton. about $5k without options. i know there is a line to get them--supposedly--, but i'd bet you could wait a few months and get one pretty cheap (relatively). for a pretty basic car, i came up with an invoice price of $43,892. that included the z51 package, a performance geared rear end and a couple of other minor appearance items. that is a great deal in my mind. here's the link if it works.

Your just ready for a change ...your bored with he Evo and can afford the Vette...nobody has to justify it...I sold my lightning for the Evo...TOTALLY different animals...trust me your not going to stop switching cars until you loose interest or can not afford it anymore..hopefully the last one wont happen
.
Look at how many people selling their Evos these days...they also knew they will switch eventually...so they might as well sell their 8s and 9s before the totally redesigned X comes and MAYBE the old Evo would cost way less...WHY?..they like cars and want to try new things and did not buy the Evo as the last sport car they want to drive.
Me I am keeping the Evo for too long...but I have been through all that switching in the past...and I even had multiple sport cars in the garage that were highly modified ...it was tempting...but after all these years and going through all these platforms I realized that I am done and I want something to tinker with as a hobby and drive a normal car for the street...now normal does not have to be boring
...but at least you know you can depend on it when its time to go to work.
Go ahead...get the Vette and enjoy...out of all the cars that I owned, the vette had its special place in my heart...I might revisit after all these years...but Ill still keep the Evo...I kinda like this ugly sucker
