Apparently porsche doesn't think so. they are introducing a new launch control feature on the new gt2's. you hold in the clutch and mash the gas pedal and wait until the turbos reach 13 psi and then dump the clutch. the electronics will maximize your acceleration by controlling the traction control. sounded pretty interesting.
