The build is coming along but at a much slower pace then we hoped. Here are some pics including the rear of the car that is now all tube frame with a custom 4 link and custom Moser spool.

 

I like the manual rack support and the transmission mount. Looks like a bit or work What are you anticipating for target weight?

 

With the Lexan, around 2300lbs with out the driver. The design is such that we can go to a full tube chassis in the future as well.

No, my team mate is just out to do his own thing and that is to go as fast as he possibly can. We will not be "going after" anyone...whatever records come across our path, now thats a different story

 

No, it is a 92 Eclipse GSX...aka...a 1G.

 

Shamus weighed his car tonight...it is missing a few things still like the fuel cell, front mount, and piping. However, it still has all the glass and the stock hatch which will be replaced with lexan and a fiberglass hatch. The car weighed 1700lbs on the digital scale!!! Once complete it should be less than 2000lbs with the driver! Un-freaking-believable

 

what are you goin to use to weigh it down when it's windy so it doesn't blow away? or will it be garage kept only? sweet car. nice work.
