Do it man. I'm pretty sure they made even older ones that were turbo. Don't take my word on that though. I do know the interior falls apart after a few years though, the 05 I was working on had spots on teh driver seat that were worn through, handles falling off, other various crap. The A/C was ice cold though.

Ditto on the GTP looks like the only downside would be the FWD and crappy interior....but as for that, it looks like it has potential.

The taurus idea isn't all that bad. I had a v6 model sho that i loved for a long time. Yamaha built the whole v6 motor. I think they only did the heads on the later v8's possibly. The 5 speed came with a 3.0 and the auto came with a 3.2 to keep up with the hp numbers of the manual. But the auto had a hint more tq due to the ci increase. Theres not alotta room under the hood, but there is a local guy that fabbed himself a turbo kit. These cars are cheap the last time I checked. And no one would look at you in it including cops. The svt contour would handle a bit better tho.

I think you mean the intake manifold cover ....which could be removed...the manifold itself should be metal.

There was a Buick Regal GSE on ebay a few days ago, would fit the bill nicely...price wise. They're total sleepers.
