A family car..On spray..

Ok...I am getting a headache thinking about this...I would like some ideas guys...so feel free...

I would like to buy a family sedan and bolt a nitrous kit to it...Why?...because I want something to drive every day to work and I dont mind it to be boring at all...BUT...I want it to be quick when I feel too bored with it

Now what I want in the car..

- Budget ...around 13k used excluding the kit...so nothing fancy guys...sorry..I know you want me to buy an srt8 and spray yet...but not with this budget.

- the car has to be reasonably reliable.
- Sedan.
- an Automatic ...not driving a stick in rush hour.
- I want it to be a high to mid 12 sec car on pump with bolt ons and nitrous...and no aggressive cams.
- It does not have to be cool...it can be a used Camry or Taurus....Just tell me why you picked it.
- I dont want to build the engines bottom or transmission....I mean...I could spend 1k here but no more so no fully built block.

If you think what I am looking for is impossible to achieve you can say so ...but I have a feeling its not.

Old school Galant VR-4 (think only 5-speed) or GSX (non-turbo, auto trans available, turbo swap is easycake).

Universal kits are available....with a Dyno tune by a pro...I thought of spraying a Ford Fusion V6 ( used of course.. I found plenty)...it has a Mazda drive train...mazda 6 specifically.. so reliability is there...and they sell a hand held tuner for it ( SCT X calibrater) so I can get it tuned to my needs...Thats an example...but its fairly new...and I will be one of the first ones to do it.

I actually know a guy with a Camry on spray ( 50 shot)...so its not impossible...Just performance wise it wont do it for me according to him...dont get me wrong ...Camrys are stout...but Just dont work great with Nitrous I guess...thats according to what I heard...It might be wrong.

So what do you think that I can get for a 15 and not for 13 grands......you did not give an example...by the way my budget is Just for the car ...Nitrous and tuning is payed for separately.

How about a Ford Marauder....I think that would do it....No?...I found 1 that works with my budget.

Hmm...The GSX is not a sedan...besides...are any of these reliable enough for a daily driver? ...I mean dont get me wrong...I am not looking for a project car here.

Here is a Marauder doing a 13.4 with bad 60 foot and a small shot ( 80hp) ..I have seen these take 100+ shots...

So I think with a decent torque converter and a 100 shot my goal is achievable.

thoughts??

1996 Chevy Impala SS. you can probably find a very nice car with low miles in your price range. there are a ton of bolt-on parts since it's a chevy small block and you can probably be in the 12's with a 150 shot and minimal bolt-ons. '96 for the floor shifter. if you don't care about that, you can look for a '94 or '95 also.

honda civic could run 12's on bolt on and nos... if you consider a turbo kit a bolt on... and probably a 100 shot...

Supercharged GTP. Jarrod just picked up a very nice one with 80k on it for around 6.5 or something like that. This means you will alreadys tart with something forced induction.

2000 Ford SVT Contour They should be around $7-10k, leaving you extra for mods if you wanted them.
