Top gear: comment on new STI vs X
The new STI looks like a snail.

Well first to the people that think the rear of the X looks bad, well the Sti's rear looks like a freaking ET's spaceship, however, I still like the sti in silver that is, but imo the evo is still #1 for me.
That's the same stupid thing people were saying about the Impreza as a whole once it got redesigned. Hell, the new WRX isn't even anywhere near the media darling it was when it came out and is getting luke warm reviews. But guess what, Subaru just sold more Impreza models last month in North America than they have since it's introduction.
I love how people who drive evos and STIs are saying the new models are ugly. Newsflash guys, we don't drive beautiful cars. The current evo (8/9) is very much a "boy racer mobile", same with the current STI. They're not made to be pretty, they are made to go fast. Actually sit back and look at the cars. Both have giant wings, both have massive fender flares, both have hoods that scream "I'll eat your baby when you're not paying attention" and both sacrifice comfort for speed (you'll never see a woman go "oh honey, let's buy an evo over a BMW). Personally I don't care what they look like out of the box, I'm sure body kits will be made, what I care about it how they perform and how they have been enhanced over the current model. Mitsubishi and Subaru are companies, you can't blame them for wanting to make some money and possibly move their top of the line sports car out of the shadows and actually into the public psyche. Go out and ask 10 people what they think of the STI/Evo and I'd be willing to bet over 60% either don't know what you're talking about or instantly associate those vehicles with people who wear their hats sideways, refer to their girlfriends as hos and drive at 6000 RPM all the time.

And it is not the same thing, are you reading my posts or simply choosing to read what you want to read like you did for your source. I am not saying the car will not sell because I think it is ugly, I have plenty of reasons for this and has much more to do than just a redesign. Read my posts I have explained myself countless numbers of times.
Also understand me when I say the car won't sell, of course some silly fool will be willing to pork out $30-$35K for one somewhere in this country, my point is it will not sell nearly as well as they expect or even as well as previous generations. I expect to see a sedan version soon.
