Seriously, that sounds like wishful thinking....only 100lbs heavier than the smaller, FWD Tib from 2002? I wish.

Well, if the car is a little bit bigger.....and a turbo i4.....you can save some weight with a RWD setup. You CAN, it doesn't mean they will with a car projected to have a 20-24k price tag.

IF its close to the same size, with the i4 engine....I figure 3300lbs ,,maybe 3400 or more for the V6.

Heres what I would say would be way more than ideal for folks like us:

RWD with a 6 speed transmission.........5 speed would be fine, as long as its BEEFY
2.4 Liter I4 turbo. From the pictures, this looks like a GREAT setup, easy to work on
Hard top

Heres where I think they'd get a smash hit.....if they offered a sport package, i.e., wheels, springs, aero package, as an "a la cart" option, this way I could select cloth seats, roll up windows and a basic, basic package, with the I4 engine.....

Mission? Bare bones, and not to have to ditch perfectly good leather seats and have a ton of extra useless junk (in a performance/drift car) that I just wouldn't use.

Either way, it seems like they're going to have the V6 be the up model, and the T-I4 be the base, hopefully with all the same possible options.

But really the Mustang looks alot better,

And it has 300/320tq.

And a limited slip rear diff.

Guess that car I was looking for is already built.

Hmm.. If the engine is the same 4b11t, and it proves to be mod friendly like the current 4g63t, this may be a really interesting option...

^^ That's what I'm thinking. People are worried about the aftermarket for the 4B11T, but if it's this ubiquitous, aftermarket manfuacturers can pool their resources and get a better return on investment. After all, honda motors aren't the best platform to start with, but they are so common, and there is so much aftermarket support, you can do whatever you really want with them...

I like the rear side window line. Unique. It's supposed to max out price-wise around 25,000. That's fully loaded with the 300hp v6.

Imagine if it comes in around 3300 pounds and the turbo four takes mods well. This could be really good.

PLUS! ++ A WARRANTY THAT WOULD BE VALID! For 7 years/100,000 miles.

I am actually surprised about those pictures. I mean, if it gets marketed this way.....

Im gonna......Im gonna......I can't believe Im saying this......

Im gonna buy a friggin Hyundai!

I hope that they don't make the V6 version have the distinguishably better looking body than the turbo I4.....you know, the "premium" package treatment.
