I am also interested in the details of this swap. I would like to put an Evo VIII ecu in my 98 GSX. The rewiring shouldn't be too bad. The only problem would be disabling the immobilizer.

"I just had my ecu reflashed with the immobilizer removed. Heres what I did.............

1. order a tactrix cable
2. download ecuflash
3. read your ecu and save hex file
4. e-mail hex file to lucasenglish@yahoo.com and explain situation
5. they will send back a modified hex with immobilizer removed
6. reflash ecu with modified .hex file

They didnt charge me anything but I am going to pay them for a tuned map once I get my car running right."

i completed my dual ecu setup and it works fine- - disabling the immo is very easy.. Wiring is pita but not very hard..
