I sold the EVO. 2006 EVO IX with 5,058 miles, I got $27,000 for a trade in.

I picked up a 2007 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab, Short Bed, 4x4, Z71 Package with 5,200 miles for $29,000.

It was a better decision for me. It's a really nice truck, that drives like a car. With the State Police Academy a few weeks away (As long as I pass my psychological test) it was a smart move. The State Police has a 5 year probation period. I did not need to be targarted or stereotyped for the type of car that I drive.

Even though I have a truck I will still be on the forums and attend meets. Some of you may disagree with my decision, but for me it was best. I thought about it long and hard for 3 days. I will miss it. But one day I will be back with a 69 Camaro or a 70 chevelle, just watch what I do with that!!! This is a great community and a great car.

I know man I will miss it. Best all around sports car I have ever owned. At this point in my life it is not practical and not smart. I will be back though. I might call you for a ride every once in a while.

Government didn't force me to do anything. It was the smartest decision for me. Financially and for my way of life. But my job did play a very small part in my deicison.

 

For my first 5 years I am on probation. Meaning I could get fired for anything. I don't need a sports car tampering with my career. I will be back one day.

If I was going to be a cop, I'd mob the Evo to work everyday. Then I'd convert everyone over to Evo owners.

Please, buy another evo someday in the future if you gonna miss it so much, I want to see more cops drive evo, not stereotype our cars!! Especially your car is tune by Ivey, it must drives like a beast.
Please no cobra, no chevelle, buy another evo please, this is the car that dominate Japan's finest circuit Tsukuba, always breaks new record. cobra chevelle can't do that.
