Yea he got all that done so he can road race and take people in twisties.. I'd love to see a fully built 35r evo turn under full boost. I'm sure theres a video out there. No one buys a top end drag turbo turn. So what else ya go?

He can do a plethora of things to help with traction that your average srt owners over looks. Good rims/tires, traction bars, AEM traction control, and a good suspension set up he'll hook up better than you think.

Using most of the logic on here why would anyone spend a bunch of money on an AWD lancer? Don't get me wrong I love evos but some of you are acting like that same logic can't be used for your car. All these sport compacts came from something

impreza cobalt neon lancer civic integra the list goes on.

 

? Uh I hate to be the one to tell you but the evo and the lancer are very distinct cars. The entire drivetrain is different, the suspension is different, exterior is different (save for the front doors and the trunk) and the interior is somewhat different (namely seats and steering wheel). I really don't understand how the same logic can be used when the parameters are completely different. Adding fuel to the fire won't help your cause, if people don't want to respect an SRT-4, there is no way to make them. I have a friend who hates them even though he's never been in one and no matter what kind of argument you form it won't make him change his mind.

 

Takes some ***** to post your #s on a evo forum. For the 15-20k that you put into that car, a evo would produce 600-800hp easy.

^^and be a 100x faster and more usable. And to the lesser intelligent person that thinks evos cant turn with 500hp maybe you haven't seen the plethora of road racing evos or time attacks that are well over 500hp...humm what a coincidence. Srt guys are so funny.

 

I think your forgetting that the srt has different headlights, front fenders, rear bumper, hood, front bumper, spoiler, motor, drivetrain, seats, gauges....as a reg neon. Seems to me the original of both cars shares about as much with its big brother than the other.

The "it's still a Neon," comments are a little tired. I mean you MAY get around a road course faster in an Evo than a few other cars, but guess what. Your in the same kind of car the srt is. While everyone else is driving their M3's and Corvette's and Lotus' they are thinking the same thing about you "its just a lancer,"

The SRT-4 shares far more with it's neon (or PT cruiser) brethren than the evo does with the lancer. I'm not taking sides here, I'm simply pointing out that that argument does not work. More importantly, it isn't going to earn you respect from people who doesn't respect the fact you're putting down more power than most of the cars on this board. I like the evo and I like the SRT-4, I have no idea why the two sides hate each other so much. It's like the never ending Subaru vs Mitsubishi war, it just seems pointless and quite hypocritical when you think about it.

 

As are almost all wars. However, It seems like neons get way more than their fair share of the hate sent their way. I still can't figure out why. I personally don't like them but I've gotten my *** handed to me (admittedly from a roll) by an SRT4.
