srt-4 makes 512 pump gas 20 psi
Nice numbers, but what everyone wants to know it what can she pull in the 1/4? There is no point in continuing this pissing contest untill there is some real world times. There are plenty of FWD drag cars posting quick times, but is this one of them? I'll hold judgment untill I see some times. Either way it's still making nice power.

there is no doubt that yeah it costs more, but overall, the evo is a "better" car. id say its worth 10k more, maybe some do not agree. the evo is commonly grouped with and has put down numbers to match it up with some of the coolest/best track cars out there. everything from porsches to beemers to lotus.
most SRT owners i have met love the evo and respect it. they also hope to own one someday after they graduate high school, are older than 16, and have a real job that doesnt include a drive thru of some sort.

I'm pretty sure AMS uses their evo for road racing so I don't get your point there.
I agree that saying you can get 800hp for 15-20k$ is ridiculous, at least if you want to make that power reliability and consistently.
So that particular SRT-4 is good for 900hp?
A Honda is a Honda, sure they can be modded for cheap but I for one am not a big fan of them simply because they don't have that "grrrr" factor to me. I would still love to have a swapped hatch for racing but that's cause I'm poor.
I've also never seen someone propose a race from a roll where a car like this (very high horsepower, relatively limited traction) is king.
As for the original comment, I again don't get why you said it. Even SRT-4 guys agree that the evo is far more different from a lancer than an SRT-4 is to their respective partner. How this is relevant is beyond me. From what I can tell people were not bashing the car for being an SRT-4 but rather for being FWD.

DCR is working that car, I would expect a 9 second pass from it at the very least.
It am pretty sure it will make 900 and hopefully run 9's in the 1/4 mile. I still need to tune the car at the track. And seeing is they closed the track on oahu it is going to be hard to get it dialed in.

haha
to the SRT owner, the car is making good numbers, but as previously stated, until that car hits the track those numbers don't mean anything and you just have a big e-coc
Some figure out how to race a fwd car and others dont have a clue, hopefully that build won't go to waste and it will run some decent times.
good luck
why even post info that you obviously have no clue about.

I think the car AMS uses for road races is their drag car (obviously modified for track duty) unless they have two cars with identical paint jobs.
