since the US is only getting 1500 GT-R's, there will be alot more cheddar at stake. my guess is pricing around $100-120K in the 3 biggest markets (Cali, the Northeast, Florida), & $85-100 everywhere else.

lets also remember the 1st EVO to hit the US was purchased for $50k in Santa Monica. !
i wonder how that guy felt when he traded it in...

I would be intereste in a car like that but I am concern about the market sale strategy.. you know what I mean: limited units, supercar appeal, mark up just because the name of the car.

The car is very fast but the used z06 will be around for much less and the z06 can match the GTR toe to toe.

my .2c

I am sure the car will go for around $100,000 plus upgrades... etc and then a grandma, women driver or drunk driver comes and hits it. OOOPS, there goes all your money and savings for what?! a car. 2008 will be by far the worst year that America has ever seen The housing market will go bottom flat. The car market is next and we will be in big trouble, but it's ok because I am going to go take all my money put myself in debt and I am going to go buy my a SKYYYYYYYLINE. It's a nice car and all but they are coming on the market at the wrong time. I think that 35K is the max that I would ever want to spend on a car. I have money but I really don't see the point anymore.

The car is definitely going to be SICK!! Unfortunatley, I believe the 135i may be my next car since it's a bit more affordable for me right now.

2008 the worst year for America? You're right (crazy people hit you), you're right (there goes all your money, and insurance has to cover ya), you're wrong (2008 will NOT be the worst year, I'll tell you why), right (housing market is already basically toast, its just a matter of how fast it rolls downhill now), dunno (I don't know how cars will end up, but you're probably right there)... And America has a HUGE problem with debt, but that doesn't mean everyone buying an R35 is going to be hugely in debt.

Now, why 2008 will NOT be the worst year. Sure, the first 3 quarters will be same old crap fest... But come November hopefully someone finally gets elected that could actually complete one round on "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader?" rather then barely being able to survive "Can you match shapes like a 2 yr-old?" November 2008 will be one of the best months in America's journey into the 21st century... No more G Dubbya = teh awesomz. So even through the crapfest you have one great thing to look forward to (unless you're one of the 5 remaining supporters of GWB, and all those WMDs)

And to another poster: Educate me on how the Skyline's AWD system works and I will answer your question. With snow tires the Z06 does plenty decent in the snow (albeit, no matter how the Skyline's awd system works it drives better in the snow than the Z06)
