03-04 EVO VIII or 97-00 C5 Corvette?
I would go with the EVO and not because I have one but because you can drive it 365 days of the year in Maine and also you said if you got the EVO you would get rid of the accord meaning if you got the vette you would keep the accord for DD. If that is the case then the evo will again come in more handy to you.
Either way you go your gonna love it. I had a IX with s1 mods. But I traded it in on a 03 Z06. I loved my Evo, and I love my Z06. They both have there good and bad sides. I love the stock speed on the Z06 because I get to keep my bumper to bumper warranty, but I hate the room (I'm 6ft7in). I love the Modibility of the evo, but I hate the reliability and the fickleness of the Mitsubishi warranty.
Honestly this is how it think it goes.
Evo VIII< Ls1Corvette
LS1Corvette<Evo IX
EvoIX<C5Z06

Hi,
As an owner of an 03 Evo and an 06 'Vette I would recommend the Evo simply because you live that far North. In the Z28 that's in my sig with factory traction control (rudimentary as it is) with summer tires I couldn't even make it up a shallow hill in approx 2" of snow. Granted my 'Vette has more sophisticated traction "nannies" I wouldn't even attempt to drive in the snow. Since I now live in SoCal, I hope I never will.
Now the Evo with the right tires is an absolute beast in the snow. As a matter of fact it's a total hoot! In case your wondering, I was stationed in CT a while back. I used to look forward to snow so I could find an unplowed parking lot to do donuts in.
Also, in my opinion, the Evo is actually easier to drive fast! The 'Vette feels heavier and has less wheel feedback. Funny thing is the 'Vette is only slightly heavier than the Evo. In the 'Vettes defense, there is nothing like the sound of a V-8 and the torque it produces with no lag.
Hope this helps.

Florida,So Cal, Arizona I would opt for the Vette....Just my personal Opinion
i have both cars and there are pros and cons of course. I would say for where you live and for the versatility get the evo. I happen to love both the same
just two different animals. Best of luck
full boltons and meth on a ix will run a corvette from a stand still any bigger turbo would do even more damage. EVO FTW
corvettes are very nice but i wouldnt trade my evo especially for an older one, the new ones are sweet looking though,
oh and by the way those guys on the corvette forums are being *******s to you, the evom community has treated u much kinder lol its nice to have nice people around you- hint hint 'cough' 'cough' evo lol
you'll only live once so get a GT-R!!!!......seriously though, get an EEEEEEEEVOOOOOO
and you do realize that you're on an Evo forum don't you?
Japanese supercars > all
