no more evos for me, too much bs involved. my intentions are to mod my truck soley for the purpose of beating evos. itll be spendy but more reliable. just thought id let everyone know incase they run into me & wanna line up

there are some badass trucks out there so i dont doubt it. but then again... there are some nice evos too

 

i was just wondering what's the bs.. i get sick of going to the local walmart with my wife and people throwing revs at me in the parking lot. idiots...
i just get waives from other evo's no competitiveness. hell i even got my neighbor to buy a eb 9

apparently youve been very sheltered, and dont know anything about diesel trucks. hell the way my truck sits right now it'd beat a stock evo from a 10mph roll on level 4 (ive done it a couple times)

its an 01 reg cab duramax. edge juice with attitude monitor, AFE stage II intake, MBRP 4" turboback, BCV, one or two other custom goodies

with even a decent aftermarket turbo, fuel pump, and beef the tranny up to take it truck should be in the 12's somewhere, prolly throw in some traction bars & use slicks at the track

i had a modded lighting a couple years ago. dont ever drive one, unless your debating weather to sell your evo. hp is good fun and all but its for kids. nothings better than 1000ftlbs of torque under your a$$

Theres a friend of mine that had a badass turbo diesel back in GA. Banks turbo upgrade and laid down over 1100 ft/lbs!!! Ran low 12's, but my buddys cammed Evo beat him .

 

yea these diesels are no joke. Mine will tear up the 37s from like a 30 roll. lol.

 

i have a buddy with a couple of powerstrokes. he tells me about the twin turbo kits for the duramaxes and the cummins trucks hes worked on. if i needed a truck, i would definately get a diesel, but if i was gonna race stuff, i would have a different car. the diesel hop up guys are the worst @ revving the engine tryin to get people to race. theres guys out here that have those BIGASS turbos and they always try to "blow smoke" on that ***. LOL. they are cool though. even better in my rearview mirror.

 

as we all know VERY few vehicles can beat a avg modded evo from a dig. i wish i had 4WD the extra weigh sucks but alota guys launch in 4WD. im assuming most evos will run 12-12.5's alot of them are capible of better but it takes one hell of a driver to reach the evos full potential

 

I'm going to stay out of this one after this post as I REALLY don't want to earn another 5 points.

Good luck man. Turbo diesels out here in utah with LOTS of work done can barely break into the 14-15's. Putting an equal amount in an evo would make it a stronger competitor IMO, but hey, do whatever suits you - your party your rules. Don't be like most of the truck owners out here in turbo diesels! Not only do they have a chip on their shoulder trying to prove you can make anything fast, but they don't mind throwing their much bigger vehicle in front of you to prove they own the road too. Kinda dangerous, especially when you aren't even trying to race they just wan't to cut you off because they find a spoiler that offensive.
