The European RX8 has been detnued to meet future European Union Emissions rules. It has 231 PS or 228 BHP. However, this looks to be MORE than the "250 PS" US model as dynos are showing something more like 210-220 PS. I test drove the car (see my post on the RX8 test drive in this forum) and there is no way its a 250 PS 3,000 lb. car. Even accounting for its very linear acceleration, I think it really is down on power.

Well here are the pics to help compare:

And the RX8

I like the G35 Better, looks wise, but the RX8 has the double doors, which is a nice touch.

everyone mentions the greddy turbo kit for the g35 which puts it around 350hp, which is not for sale yet, maybe cause its a evo forumn and turbos are def fun, but you gotta have a fondness for the supercharger....stillen and another company have supercharger kits already on sale that put the car somewhere between 350-375hp....ill perfomance...

oh yeah in regards to the rx-8, the 2+2 setup is nice but the back end looks a lil bloated

just my $ 0.02

Yes there is nismo parts..for the g35..but then again..how much does Nismo parts cost?!?..a lot of $$ is all i know..rx-8 will prob have more aftermarket parts out here in the US quicker then there will be for the g35..I think the g35 will not have many parts because it is somewhat on the line of a luxury car..so yea..that my saying..

Damn

You guys ******* the damn RX8 are dumb asses. What it comes down to is a lot of jealous idiots that don't know there *** from a hole in the ground. You can't stand that the RX8 got the Engine of the year award beating the BMW M3. That says alot. I have this car and love it. I choose it over the rest because of pure technology. The only reason I'm on this thread is because I am looking for EVO owners that's having problems. I am thinking of getting one of those too so I won't have to drive so many miles on one or the other. The best thing you can do is shut the hell up about a car that none of you have driven and basing your decisions off of the last RX7 which were awesome anyway.

Not sure if you watched any videos of the Tokyo Auto Salon. They actually have a lot of products for the g35/350z now and have products in development focusing on these cars. So there shouldnt be any worries about aftermarket support.

Re: Damn

I drove one and it SUCKED, power like the S2000 never feel like you are going anywere. Get you money back on the POS and get a REAL sports car. I had a 1994 Rx-7 and that was a REAL car.... Until it blew up at 53,000 miles and I sold it lol. The car has 0 power and even less TQ. Keep telling yourself it's fast until I blow by you in my EVO.

The G35 beats the RX-8 in handeling and power. www.motortrend.com
The G35 has luxury and is a faster car. The G35 gets better gas milage too! I would rather have a EVO, WRX, or SRT-4 any day. RX-8 Gives buyers very little value at the $26,680 Sticker price. The G35 gives you better interior, and way better exterior styling.

Conclusion: For the money, the G35 is faster, and is more luxurious and gets better gas milage. These traits make the choice easy and the G35 a better Car.

G35 man. GO for RX8 if you dont care about horse power and speed. I test drove the RX8 and I wasnt impressed. Like many would agree with me, the RX8 has no torque whatsoever. It is one nice looking car tho man. The RX8 looks better in my opinion. With the right body kits, It is sick. The G35 is aite even with body kits. It is more for the older generation. If you're 30+ go for the G35.

My vote goes for the G35.......Looks and it can Move.......Why would anyone by the RX-8. Its a nice car, but i cant see a Infiniti shopper checking out a Mazda to compare against.
Hell have you been to a Mazda or Mitsu dealer lately....they have a bunch of but ugly SUV's and some nasty looking cars on the lot.
+++++The G35 is a comfy skyline!!!

6-speed RX-8s have been dyno'd around 170 at the wheels, the factory rating is supposed to be 247hp...

In my book, that car is a joke.
