Thumbs up Dodge Stealth goes 8.81@166mph

Matt Monet of Dynamic Racing just broke the 1/4 mile world record for Dodge Stealths and Mitsubishi 3000GTs with a 8.81@166mph and backed it up with a 8.88@165mph. This was after breaking both rear 300m axles and swapping in stock axles. Not to mention this was done at 3600ft. Here's a link to the thread on 3si http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=414288

Here's the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqRpJeMvM08

The car was just dynoed too, 955 awhp http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=412490

Congrats Matt and Dynamic Racing!

That's a hell of a run Matt made. I bet he's going to have a huge smile on his face for the next few weeks.

I closely followed their foot steps for the last 18 months and I noticed their developments. Now they are moving!!. I have a local friend(Trevor) which currentlu holds the 3rd of 4th best trap and ET worldwide for Stealths.

I am glad for them!!

Trevor's car is pretty sick too. I can't wait to see how this season goes with that big single he's getting from IPS. He hit mid 10's on the 16Gs, and that GT4202 has a lot more potential.

^^Yeah ..me too.. Keep in mind Trevor ran a 138mph over a year ago when Dynamic racing were in the high 140's traps(low 150s) at the time.

Also, keep in mind that Trevor achieved a 138mph trap in Tucson at 3100ft elevation. I talked to him on the forums and he is aiming for 9s and a good solid 150 traps. Not bad at all for a guy that build his entire engine in his house garage. The reason why he hasn't been faster is because is is currently doing a Korea tour.. As soon as he gets back he will be kicking some a$$ Remember, we are talking about a a guys that has a full time job and has virtually no sponsorship, he tunes and he builds his own $hit, instead Dynamic racing has a shop and full sponsorship and off course they can work on their car 100%.

As per the 16Gs he had when he ran the 10.3 guess who provided him some old components/cores?(Yours truly). He got some good credit from the vendor with my old turbo cores that I destroyed on my older GSX.

Neat to this info coming over here.

It is crazy what is happening in our platform, especially given the age and lack of big name support.

Still can't believe that Matt broke both of the 300m axles.

I was there Friday night, same track I trapped 118 at. This car was insane, gutted, first run on cold slicks and he was sideways first, second, third gear, jumped into the right lane from left, nearly hit the wall twice, INSANE, this car was sick.

this i don't quite get. as i understand it, matt is running pretty much a one-man shop and there are no corporate stickers on his car. anything that goes into it, comes straight off his dinner table. which, given the poor status of current 3/s owners (on the level of dsm kiddies), there is probably not much to begin with compared to evo shops.
