LS1 opportunity

LS1 opportunity
I've got an opportunity to pick up a lightly modded 2000 Camaro Z28 with 85k mi for $10,000.
The car is actually for sale by a friend of mine, it's got:
SLP Lid
Pacesetter Longtube Headers
Pacesetter Off-road Y-Pipe
Flowmaster Cat-Back
Dyno Tune - 333rwhp on a DynoJet
Other than that, it's bone stock and it runs well. I've driven the car many times and I enjoy it as a fair-weather cruiser that sounds amazing and has great potential.
I'm curious how other LS1 owners feel about their cars and if this is a good deal or not. He paid $11 for the car last summer and has put about $2k in parts/labor into it.
I am done modding the Evo, so you can forget about droppign $10k in that
Also, I don't plan on going crazy on the LS1 if I get it... I'm thinking just some 17x11 wheels, some 315 drag radials, an intake, cam, and 4.10's

it's a 2000 ? for 10K. I would have just put that money in a bucket and burn it then spend it on a car like that. Sorry man I don't want to be an a** but come on 10k for a 8 year old car?

It's not a daily driver... just a small muscle car project, nothing crazy or expensive.
I figure the car is worth $8k private sale... but I could either find a stock one for $8 and spend $2000 on mods, or just buy this as-is for $10.
I know it's not a "steal" but I was just curious how others felt about the car & platform

Gobs and Gobs of torque is a beautiful thing...
10K for a car with 85k miles is awefully high.....
but if you decide to get it, look at ATI prochargers....
even bigger gobs and gobs of torque...

If its the Top Gear casting crew ... Jeremy Clarkson would say " Its a pile of Rubbish "
LoL .. Good luck on the purchase ... I would spend 10k and ask someone to make me a WRC widebody ... I really haven't seen anyone run that kit on the street in the US ... at lease to my knowledge ...
