So after learning that the new Ralliart might be a little over priced i started looking at other cars. One that caught my eye was the 2008 Volvo c30, went to the dealer tested it out, performed exceptionally well considering the fact that it had a turbo charged 220 hp engine. The styling is great imo and def. sticks out.

im personally not a fan of volvo but this model is unlike any other

 

my grandpa has one... he loves it. its pretty much the base model, no major options really. I drove it and it handles tight and accurate

 

i think it looks like crap compared to the lancer (which isn't all that great looking either).

Although, its a 2 door vs a 4 door, so not sure if its a direct comparison.

 

Looks good... 5cyd turbo, 6spd... for a fwd car its great! im just into AWD!

 

agreed bro. i actually heard speculation of an AWD dropping soon.

 

If they did it in an AWD it would be in the running with evos and STI's for sure.. AWD hatch would be nice.. probably would be a lil lighter then an evo too with 2.5L, cant find anything about the block, if its solid, semi-solid, or open deck

It was putting down some really good times, but since the plates were manufacturer, who knows who's car it was! He came in 2nd in GS, 2.5 seconds faster than my time in the Evo and about 1.5 seconds behind the STi that won STU (and is are redonkulously fast car/driver)

 

as my mechanic friend would say: "it's a volvo". just so you are aware, even new volvos have trouble meeting certain inspection requirements in ny. i know you don't have that issue in fla, but it's just an indication of how crappy they are. it became so bad that ny made exceptions for the cars so they would pass inspection. no other manufacturer gets those exceptions. i see cars in his shop all the time that are two or three years old needing rediculous repairs such as replacement of the window motors and new cats. be careful about the quality of the car.

I work for a Volvo shop in Cali. I have worked on thousands of volvos. The 30 series and 40 series are pretty good. Stay away from the s60's and s80's. They are crap. Trust me on that one.
