Volvo C30

I went to the dealer today and test drove a Volvo C30 Ver.2. Very solid car and seems to be a good daily driver and has alot of standard features. Volvo is known for its low insurance so dats a plus. I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything about this car, good and bad. I know 0-60 is about 6 sec and 1/4 mile is mid-high 14s.

My neighbor has one as a daily driver and loves it. I believe it's front wheel drive so it has a little torque steer, but gets up and gets out of it's own way. He just put an exhaust in it and says it put down close to 230-240hp. Not bad if you ask me, plus the safety margin if you've got kids. Later.

Yea it is front drive and the torque steer isnt bad at all but AWD would be great for it, i was talkin to the sales manager about that. But it does move. As for safety i'm jus worried about insurance and myself ofcourse, no kids yet. I am leanin towards coupes now a days cause i realize very rarely i have anyone else in the car. And everyone and their mama got an eclipse, civic, gti or tc. So those are out of the question. I'm also lookin for boost. The back of the c30 is wierd but its' different. What i do like is that the car is completely customizable from the factory, the one i drove was customized by someone but they pulled out of the deal cause his wife didn't like it. Maybe if i get a good deal i will get it.

I work at a Volvo shop here in Chico,Ca. The C30's are good. I like the S40's better though. Overall is a much better car. I have worked on the XC90's, XC70's, S40's, S60's, S80's, 740's, 240's, 940's just about every single Volvo made. They are safe as hell though. I would recommend them for their safety plus they do move pretty good now. Plus if you want to do some peformance stuff IPD makes just about everything performance for Volvo's.

I love this car.I test drove this one in europe a year ago when they came out...AWD would make this car my 1st option ,but than again s40 T5 AWD is just a bigger brother ,but hatchback gives this volvo a character and sweetness..I already looked into it and volvo has no plans as far as AWD....bummer

OFF topic or maybe not that off.anybody test drove new SAAB Turbo X ?I just did today...this one has soooo much torque ....and AWD but price $43k +

sweet a$$ ride black on black with 6 speed 280HP,but for this price I would go with Merc 4MATIC C-class.....if I had this kind of $$$ on my hand (obviously)

I agree with the AWD, it is a very nice car though. Never thought i would consider a volvo. Its quick and compact so thats a good thing. As for the saab turbo x ive read about that one and i would really like to get to take one for a spin. i drove an 07 Aero and that was nice so i can imagine what extra power and awd would do.
