Are supras really that godly?
its probably been said already...but just to add another tally for it....
the 2JZGTE motor has a LOT of potential since it's really strong and can withstand high hp
i would not mind owning a supra. i've always liked them. but i havent really seen a nice race car. they seem more like drag/hp queens

Oh boy.
That's a big statement to make.
Maybe in the US but in Japan, Supras have been very well represented in the Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC) for many years.
But that's the thing. AFAIK Toyota never used the 2JZ in JGTC, or at least not for very long before the found out it wasn't competitive. They realized they could get the same power (that the rules allowed) out of a 3SGTE (or actually a racing variant of its turbo 4) which weighs less and when mounted has better weight distribution. Now, they are mostly using V8's.
No argument from me about LS1 and LS2s. Come to think of it, I have a 1JZ swap and love the 2JZ.. 1, 2, 1, 2... I see a pattern...
