Mazda RX 8 Blinkin DSC light?!

Mazda RX 8 Blinkin DSC light?!
Hey guys, my friend has a RX-8 Sports Prestige, and one afternoon he started the car and the the DSC light was blinkin and the 'stability icon' was on, the switch wont turn it off, and i disconnected the battery for 10mins and that did nothing, any suggestions or ideas what caused this, or how to fix it? Thanks
