The stang looks really good next to those others ,,, seems like '69 all over again.

But notice how terrible the mirrors are on the stang,, and it runs through the whole line of them.

Plus the Challenger is far north of 3700lbs...take a looksee yourself.

The Mustang is the lightest of the 3. The Challenger is the heavest. The redesigned mustang will be out next spring probably before the Camaro. Both the Camaro and the Challenger need something to breakup how huge these two are. They need side stripes or hood stripes otherwise they just look like big billboards on the road.

Have you actually driven them? Or see them in person? They are no bigger or smaller than each other. And it's not about them being freakin lotus Elises... they were heavy then, theyre going to be heavy now. But they have 5.7-6.1L V8's to push them along. They are only a couple hundred pounds heavier than an EVO.

ricky,, you better go get some facts straight?

First why post this in an evo forum,,,, and then make the same post on a bmw forum?

You should find a mopar forum and maybe there you can get your imfo. your looking for,, like weight.

Why don't you get off my ***** and look at the section this is posted in. It's called "OTHER CARS". Go find people who posted about other makes and models and ask them the same question. And oops my bad, The Challenger weighs in at

4041lbs and the EVO weighs in at 3656lbs

So lets do a power to weight ratio on the two. Considering weight is SUCH a big deal

2008 EVO MR:

2.0L 291hp/300tq = 1hp per 12.56 lbs ... 1ft/lb per 12.18 lbs

2009 Challenger R/T:

5.7 375hp/404tq = 1hp per 10.77 lbs ... 1 ft/lb per 10.00 lbs

2009 Challenger SRT-8:

6.1L 420hp/425tq = 1hp per 9.62 lbs ... 1ft/lb per 9.50 lbs...

This isn't an EVO vs. Challenger thread, this is a I drove a 2009 Dodge challenger thread. If youre going to ***** about WEIGHT... make sure the other car is a light weight, cuz the EVO ain't it.

PS. Why would ask such a question? Why would you post this in an EVO forum. ERRRrrrRRR. Go probe someone else weirdo.

Pure sex. IMO, the Challenger might be the best looking car on the road (under $30k).

BTW - the 2009 Challenger R/T will be rated at 16/25 mpg. 25mpg and 370hp FTW!

I'd get one, but not over the Evo....I'm concerned with all weather driving, any time, any place. This however like I said would be the probably the only second car that the US has that is attractive to me.

That Camaro looks too much like KITT in black with the slit in the front

I like this car more than the Camaro and the Mustang.

Jay Leno bought one and a video of his review.

WTF? I thought Dodge said they would ONLY offer this car in the SRT-8 variant. All I've seen was SRT-8's. I think I'd have to laugh if I saw this car in a V-6 version. Hell, the R/T Chargers are bad enough. Those things are everywhere (and slow).

Yeah, they have around 370hp, but they are'nt as fast as you think they would be. I think I saw somewhere only 5.9 to 60 or something like that. Maybe it was an auto, but still...must be the close to 4100lb curb weight. Something's not right though, as G8's are much quicker (about 5.3 to 60) with similar power and weight. It's probably easy to add big power with just bolt-ons though. btw, I saw one in person today and it looked pretty cool, but did'nt see it up close.

Chrysler says the R/T will do 5.5 0-60. 5.5-6.0 isn't really that slow...
