ugly like hell Still American car.

 

I saw one in person the other night. I don't like American cars (except for the new Mustang - wait til you see the real production one. I saw one in LA before I moved out to Virginia. It will sell like no other), but at least it looked 100% better than the Impala/Monte Carlo garbage. I think the red calipers are a little OTT though.

Just to let you guys know....it's not just a bonneville....that's the suped up GTP or GTX...or whatever they wanna call it. I think it's supposed to be a performance package and maybe a little engine work twords the 280hp range instead of the standard supercharged 240.

Finally, here's the new GTO.

 

The solstace is a beautiful car. I think that with the attention that the SRT-4 has gotten, if Pontiac can source the motor for a low price, and keep the price tag in the 25K range, they will have a monster on their hands. I think that it could be a halo car for their brand image for under 30K. I have to admit it though, it does seem like the american car manufactures are coming around, and a releasing some exciting products finally. The solstace, the Z-06 corvette, the cadillac CTS spec-V with 400 hp, the GTO with a possible judge version coming out in a year or two, teh next generation corvette with over 400 hp stantard, and the SRT-4 are all examples of new cars that no one would have expected 2 or 3 years back. It has taken the domestics a little longer, but I think that they actually come up with some good ideas..
