so cuz u beat one si whos driver obviously cant drive stick worth a damn u think that the lancer is better...a civic si with an avg driver would beat a lancer with a good driver.

Just curious Pimpson. How far did you race the SI until you just took him an he finally gave up?

A civic si will so eat a lancer. I can beat one off the line if the driver can't shift. But I'm own3d from a roll. Si only makes 5 more hp than my RS but they are lighter and have a better topend. I only win off the line bc I have sooo much more torque. But a lancer doesn't stand a chance against an Si if the driver has any talent.

That's the most lamest comment I've heard, well, almost.

So what you are saying is that your car can take a 160hp, lighter weight vehicle with your mere heavy 120 hp lancer....
That SI wasn't racing ya so quit with the BS.

I haven't taken any pics of it yet...also no digicam , but I'll take some with my friend's digicam (maybe on weekend)if you wanna check it out...

hey that's cool that you somewhat seem to have interest towards civics evnthough they are mentioned to be notoriously common

Are you going for the hatchback and engine transplant? Coz if you are I'd say that's the best way to go for the best bang for the buck. you can't go wrong with an ITR GSR or higher motor with at least 170hp engine in such a lighweight chasis as a 93-95 hatchback. That along with a DRAG turbo and some extras you'll be in the 12's easily, and with proper tuning in the 10's!

Cool one more thing...

importlancer,

I think you'd rather be more interested in checking out my friend's '94 del sol with I believe a B18C transplant (not sure). His car was also filmed in FAst and Furious for a split second (although he says he said it was more that that...) , anyways, it's the black del sol w/custom body kit.

not a mere heavy 120hp lancer, exhaust intake and about 45 pounds so far removed...anywayz ladies. I raced him from a dead stop to the next light. Both tires squeeled but when I dropped the clutch my low-end torque (check it out) shot me ahead of this guy for the gap I needed in what is known as "street racing" K???? We got up to 50, when I shifted in 3rd I slowed and he did pass me as we were braking for the light. Yep, I think the lancer is better, my lancer was better than his si

oh yeah, EvoSoul, I'm not tryin to bag on Civic's all day, I see the amount of Honda related tuning stuff every where I go and know that even with 10g in my engine there will alwayz be a lighter faster civic somewhere...their cool in their own regards, but I got my car because it was an uphill battle in tuning/racing/dragging etc...and to bag a new (admittedly stock, and probably less experienced driver) Civic was PIMP, because its supposed to take me. For every Honda fanatic I'll be there wit my argument against them tho... Coolio?

Now be off the dills

Oh I'm soooooo sorry Mr. talented lancer racer of them all who can possibly takeout SI's with ease and even maybe an EVO because he has an "exhaust intake and about 45 pounds so far removed"

WOw doooooooode you must be getting at least 100+hp with those upgrades and with a loss of 45 pounds you sure are way better off in weight ratio according to your math!!!

Aight guys, try to keep it civilized and rational. Don't make me lock this thread, I fairly enjoy it so far. You don't have to talk all tough to get the point across.

hmm..

I'm pretty sure a 160hp civic si will beat a lancer oz rally even if you took 45 pounds off..only way the lancer could've won was if the guy in the si wasnt racin or he couldnt drive.

Hey guys don't worry bout Pimpson, just like a lot of people in forums "HE LIED" Cause my friend has an SI and he spanked me so bad my momma cried, and I have mods too... It's just a better car than a Lancer, but you also pay more money for it.

As far as the look of the car, I don't like it, I don't know it has that same goofy matrix styling that I don't like. (Toyota Matrix)

The shifter position is actually a good idea, but I think Honda was kinda just showing off.... The shifter position is very similar to that of the majority of rally cars (unless they use pedal shifters) It was also put into use by Porsche I believe in the new GT2..... They put the shifter closer to the wheel, so when shift you can get your hand back onto the wheel quicker.... It's for racing, not drag, but real road racing.

Haven't seen F&F for a while Evosoul but is it the race scene before the 4 race the 1/4 where their all lined up along the line?

Yeah try to get some pics of your car an the del sol I'm curious as to which one it is..
Thanks.

P.S yeah I have more of an interest in civics an just honda's in general more then lancer's.
I also want the B18C in a 94 hatch CX (also wouldn't mind having a B18C5 ) hopefully early next year sometime..
