Galant VR-4s usually pulled low-to-mid 15s stock.
The Saloon ****? Don't know, never heard of them.
I run 16 - 17 psi on a stock turbo, and I only am running ~ 13.9 or so. Stock our cars would run over 15. The reason is that they are very heavy and only run on about 9 -11 psi stock.
My galant also is about 100 lbs lighter than stock.
Im taking it to the track within the next few weeks so I will know for sure. Just got my new boost gauge installed today, and the datalogger is coming this week (pocketlogger).

I think the topic of discussion here is the EC5A Galant guys....
I have a 98 type S which is manual with AYC (it was removed from manual versions in 2000). It is 2.5 V6 twin turbo, 280ps (206kW).
As a rough guide, the manual pulls probably a high 13 second quarter, with the auto somewhere in the low 14s.
Need any more info, pm me or visit my website address below.
Cheers.
added - specs can be seen here

If you want to get one from Japan, let me know - I can hook you up with a buyer there.

what do u think is the max HP (power) on a streetable vr-4 like u own?
for example, the average max streetable power someone could get from an eclipse with the 4G63 engine is normally round 500 - 550 hp.

How long is a piece of string??? Depends on how much money you have I guess, but there's plenty of potential in the 6A13 motors - they run tiny turbos for a start, so switching to bigger ones would make a huge difference.
I saw a few in Japan running 500+bhp from these motors. Do a search on the Legnum VR-4 - they sell a lot more of them over there, so there are more websites for them than the sedan. I'll see what I can find...

I thought they were tuned up alittle more..sorry, only reference I have is GT2. so it's the 2.5 twin turbo wagon tho right? and Nissan has that sick sick Stegea wagon...that whole idea is starting to grow on me. I have a friend I was trying to convice to put a down on an EVIII, instead he got the StiWagon, but for a young person that would be pretty sweet for movin junk and skiing etc..
No difference in power output between sedan and wagon.
PROS Engineering in Japan have done a fair bit of work on them - they've got 400ps from one motor but check out the torque - around 600Nm, which is nearly double the factory specs.
Check the top speed too
