Hi vrfour, i see we have something in common, a VR-4 Twin Turbo car, mine is the one before yours. I am pretty much still interested in yours but we can't import nothing under 2000 year old vehicles, so i am stuck admiring yours on the net. So my plans are to implant a 3000 Gt Vr-4 engine and modifying it to 600 WHP. It currently pushes 265 WHP which is about 350 BHP. It currently does 13.3s on the 1/4 mile with a lot of driver's errer, so i brlieve it's a 12s car, at least it shows that on the Power iD meter.
The current generation of Galants does include GDI engines, but not the VR-4
Thanks for the help, that is my point. Your generation in none VR-4 trim is called a VR-G which i own as well.
There is talk that a future Evo Lancer will be GDI/turbo though.
That's only talk.
The reason GDI motors are not sold in the States (and Australia) is because the sulphur content is too high in your fuel
That's not what i hear. I hear that the GDI technology is too advance for the States(don't know about Australia) untill they have figuered it out then they will import it.
As for a current VR-4 outhandling and outperforming a current M3 - well I own one and have driven the other, and my response is...ummmm, no it won't. Sorry
It doesn't speak well for you as a driver as i also own the earlier gen to yours, mine is a 2.0 liter and yours is a 2.5 liter.
The only vehicles run with me hear are the Evos And Subarus STis, no WRXs as we walk right through them. I have had e-mails from owners of VR- 4s in Europe and their cars are known as M3 Killers unsuspecting M3 owners attacking a sleeper like our VR-4s and they all get a rude awakening and that's a fact.
VR-4 are sleepers, don't wake them.

lol - did you receive an e-mail from me recently???

I'll agree with you on one point - the VR-4 is a total sleeper. Most of the V8-loving guys over here think it's a Diamante...

Absolutely toasted one poor fellow in a brand new Mustang, straight after he'd driven it out of the dealer...

Knew there was somthing about you i liked.
the VR-4 is a total sleeper
I know, before i put on my body kit, i use to leave all unsuspecting M3s etc in the dust.
Can't wait for the new project to come with the 3000 GT VR-4 engine along with the six speed getrag gear box and diff. wow i can just taste victory, 600 WHP that's about 780 BHP.
