Moving up to a v8

So the time has come for me to get a FUN daily driver. My integra is slow and even though it's amazing on gas, I'd rather have something that gets horrible mpg but is fun to drive. Sadly I've never owned a v8, and that's kinda the direction I'm wanting to go. Before everyone starts thrashing me saying I'll be sick of something powerful for a daily, truthfully I could drive my 700hp vo every day and not mind, but I've got the cash so I might as well get something w/ a bit more low end. Here's some of the things I'm looking for...

Something with a sick powerband, it HAS to have power down low
26k or under
Something semi flashy, no foxbodies, 80's camaros, etc
Built motor, big cubed or boosted v8
Full or close to full interior
And if you couldn't tell from all the other criteria it has to be AT LEAST semi fast

I've been looking a lot into the built or boosted c5's and they seem to fit the profile pretty well. Something that you'll see less than 50 of in a day would be nice though.

STS Turbochared GTO. Saw one in my area for about 19K with less than 50K miles.

I've seen some hella fast turbo gto's, but imo they're absolutely hideous. Thnx for the input though. I'm starting to think hard on a modded cobra. Anyone have a good website to look on? I've been on a couple that came up with google, but I havn't found any with a big selection on there.

C5 Z06 or Terminator seem to be your best options.

I like the Z06 better as it is quite road course ready to begin with, then again I am in no means bashing the cobras track prowess.

You're 19 and spending $26k cash on a car? Must be nice.

IMO the Cobra is a poor choice. They are insanely fast but complete crap to drive around. Crappy seats, crappy shifter, crappy steering, crappy brakes, but insane fun in a straight line.

Unfortunately C6 vettes are out of the range. I'd consider a GTO or C5 Z06. For something with some semblance of practicality, a CTS-V or E39 M5.

For something a bit more carnal (and two more cylinders), mid 90s Vipers might be attainable. If you wanted to finance a new car, the Pontiac G8 GXP might be worth looking for.

If you want a real daily driver, not a 2 door sports car, look at some E39 M5s.

Ya.. life insurance money. A lot of money, but the circumstances kind of suck.
I know, I had my sights on a couple c6 z06's, but decided I had enough money wrapped up in the evo and thought it'd be wiser to save for a house or somethin after college.
Practicality... I'm 19, it's not needed
Never thought of a 90's viper... not my favorite body style, but I've seen a few that look really good. Thnx for another option
