I keep seeing that darn Kia SOUL commercial and I have to admit after going to the site and pricing one, it'd be a great fun daily driver. Granted although we can't actually turn into hamsters, we can still look cool rolling in one.

I'd say below 21k, but more specifically new model gas saving vehicles.

Example; Soul, Cube, Fit, Genesis Couple (its run on 87 oct so I guess gas mileage is good, haven't looked into it's non-performance criteria), 3rd gen Prius, Xb, etc...

Just seeing what everyone thinks of these new cool vehicles.

well u cant exactly compare the Cube, Soul and Fit to the Genesis coupe... those are 4 door and /or hatch, AND, the Hyundai is much more expensive

btw, the Fit is a very decent car in many regards!

I would go for the Nissan Cube before I would go for the Kia Soul, same price with Nissan track record. Just my 2 cents.

As for me, I'm happy with my 2009 RA as a daily driver.

best daily driver ever. Quick, practical, incredible interior and handles great. You can easily pick one up used for under $21K. Or if you have good credit you can get a brand new one at 0%.
I got mine 23K OTD w/0%. Manual, Sat radio and 17" wheels.

Why is it that, whenever someone posts a "help me pick a DD" thread, 75% of the people completely ignore the user's requirements and start tossing out cars that are above and beyond the price range and practicality level needed in a DD?

Saw the Kia Soul in person the other day. I couldn't believe that the speakers actually light up like they do in the commercial As far as small, efficient, cheap, and practical goes, you're looking at the right cars. I'd personally go with a Fit, as it won't be an obscure car, parts will be less of a challenge. Scion xB would be another good choice. Or wait for the new Ford Fiesta. Top Gear gave it a great review when they had it on their show.

Can't stand the Nissan Cube, it's not symmetrical, damn it.

Illiteracy runs rampant.

The glowing speaker surrounds seem like a neat feature for a show car, but horrible for a 100k+ mile DD.

I'm not a fan of the cube style cars, so I'd prefer a Fit, Versa, or the upcoming Fiesta.
