The AMS sponsored GT-R breaks the pump gas ¼ mile record!!!
That's the plan...hopefully by this fall

Thanks
There is still stage 2 of this project so more to come!!

Yeah just for the hell of it when we were coming back from the track we did a roll race (on a private track of course
) from 30 -130 between the GT-R and our cam and header Z06 and the GT-R was about 3-4 car lengths in front at the end which we were a little more than surprised by. I thought it would be a much closer race and my dad was driving the Z06 and got about a fender jump on me with the Vette but it didn't last long..
Update!!!
UPDATE!!
For those who have followed, the AMS GT-R you know it ran its best time of 10.69 @ 132 on pump gas, full weight, and runflats.
Today we decided to give the set of DR's and 18 volks a try while leaving everything else the same as the 10.69 pass! (BTW THANKS CHUCK H for lending us the set)
I wish the conditions were a little better...
But we are still excited!!!
10.53 @ 133.68 mph
Track temp was about 125-130 Degrees. DA was 2500 at the time of the pass. Not to mention is was a blistering 87 degrees according to the track.
The Bad part is we only got two runs in. The Track was hosting an event all day and into the evening. We were one of the only cars in test and tune.
Wish we had gotten a chance to run in the cooler evening temps and were able to play with the tire pressure. We ran both runs on 30psi in the DR's because one of the guys forgot to lower it.
BTW we drove the car about 40 miles to the track if your asking why the psi was so high to begin with.
After being there many hours and not running, the track owner felt bad about not getting us out so he invited us back on the house.
Slip and video soon.
