The AMS sponsored GT-R breaks the pump gas ¼ mile record!!!

AMS has been working hard over the past few months developing products for the new Nissan GT-R. We were fortunate enough to have one of our close friends let us tear into their Japanese supercar to make it even better…and that we did! With only minimal modifications on 93 octane pump gas and stock run flat tires Mike and AMS GT-R were able to break the pump gas quarter mile record running a 10.69 @ 132!!!. What is most impressive about this time is the short list of modifications used to achieve it. To the naked eye the AMS GT-R looks stock. To those in the know it is cranking out over 600 all wheel horsepower and over 585 ft lbs of torque…all with just the following modifications:

AMS Turbo upgrade
AMS Downpipes
AMS Midpipe and prototype Catback Exhaust
Deatschwerks 800cc injectors
HKS EVC boost controller
AMS/Forged Performance tune using the Cobb Access port.
Willall transmission cooler
STOCK run flat tires

THAT'S IT!

With just those modifications we were able to run consistent 10 second passes on just pump gas in the AMS GT-R…all with only a 1.8 60 foot time on the stock run flat tires!!!!!
Look for the AMS GT-R to try and better its time by throwing on a set of lightweight 18" wheels and some drag radials in the very near future!!

Could do without the tunes in the background. The car would have been music enough, hey at least it wasn't rap on the bright side.

Nice run BTW!!!

Congratulations on a 10 second pass, but your mod list is not that small and you started with an $80K + car ....

To me what is most interesting is that the stock clutch is holding the power....

hahahaha 100k+ car (you will pay the markup) and 10k in mods (it IS ams afterall) and you're in the 10s. SHOCKING! I'm so shocked I'm going to get off my computer now.

Screw the price. It's impressive to see a 3800 lb car put down that time with relatively light mods.

Thanks!!

Yes the mods are minimal when compared to other turbo upgraded GT-R's out there. So we are feeling very good about these times on pump and stock RF's on a full weight car.

We will be going back to the track as soon as the weather clears up around here only this time running DR's and lighter 18" Volk TE37's. Hopefully we can reduce or 60ft from the high 1.8's to 1.5's or even 1.6's and possibly break the fastest GT-R record for ET and MPH all while still on pump 93 oct.

The current records are 10.31 for ET set by a GT-R that has more mods than our car, on 109 race gas and without an exhaust and we believe some weight reduction.

The MPH record is 134.23mph which we were close on with a best of 132.48mph.

Well make a vid the next time at the track only this time without the music.
