Strange, but true. Not an Evo
Here's my last porsche:

It was a great car, but I sold it before the market on them dipped, and I just didn't any longer want to have that much money into a car, let alone a car that I track.
Now I have a stock WW. In the 1.5 weeks I've had it, I've gotten more positive comments than when I had the GT3. Seems more 'car' guys comment, and with the gt3 it was just random peeps.
Anyway, the more I drive the Evo the more I like it. The GT3. . . the longer I had it the more I felt irresponsible for spending that much on a car. Makes the Evo that much more fun to own. . . a guilt-free purchase so to speak.
Just thought to share. . . a coupla people in the office were asking me if I missed any of the expensive hardware I've had in the past.

In my opinion the best money spent is an HKS Drop-In Filter and Cobb AccessPORT, With that combo I made 309AWHP/292AWTQ and do not have to worry about the warranty because I can press uninstall on the AccessPORT and she's back to stock.
Yeah, the GT3 was a rocking car. I had two. A black/black 996 GT3 that was quite a handful, and the 997 GT3, which was faster and a pussycat by comparo. However, for the street, the car I miss most is my 997 Carrera S. A *very* complete car.
I sold the yeller car in the pic and bought a second home, on the coast. (I'm 41 with two kids. . . and, well, had a moment of maturity thinking I'd do something for the whole fam).
Here's the 964 Turbo (aka 965). It's a bad muthaeffer. Sounds mean, fast as heall, but a biatch to keep on the road.

Anyway, the evo is a cool car. Not only is it an amazing in its own right, the driving experience rivaling exotics, but for the cash it's unparalleled. I understand with clarity how many of you pine for the 'next' upgrade. (reading the E92M3 thread made me think of this) But once you strip away the badge and concessions to price based on interior finish and paint quality, the driving experience rivals the best rigs on the road.
