I really don't know if the car justify its target price, ie $380,000 USD...
Performance - GTR, Z06, F430 Scuderia, Gallardo LP560-4 or there about, so $70-180k. It will be eclipsed once 458 Italia and MP4-12C comes out
Exterior - FT86 with a body kit, so $30k+$5k at most? The rear is definately $150k+ though
Interior - Looks no better than an entry level from Lexus, or Acura or Infiniti, it doesn't have any of the daring or 'spartan yet high quality' like the ones from Italy
Excitement - The sound is quite intoxicating, but so is Z06, F430 and LP560-4, the balance between raw and comfort may not be seen until when the car is out, but it would be pretty tough to top 911 GT3 RS or F430 Scuderia, especially at that price
1990 LS400 may have silenced its critics back in 1989, but I don't think this car would unless they seriously reconsider the MSRP before the actual release.
The argument are; 1. Lexus/Toyota can't build exotic supercars - most people disagrees by now even before LF-A rumor was around knowing how rich Toyota has become, 2. LF-A will be a success - unless Toyota already confirmed the quantity, price, and pretty much sold out on the waiting list, only time will tell. Maybe Toyota will prove again that average joe like me are incapable of making predictions on markets

I didn't watch the video with audio on but I remember watching one of other videos and said they got 7:30 something with traffic and said that 7:24 was possible or something. So I would say it is 'around there' but not fast enough to claim that it will be faster than a GTR, until they prove it. Even if they achieve 7:24, 2-3sec on a 7+min track is too minor IMO. Mere existance of the GTR or even a LP560-4 is going to impact significantly on the sales decision on the potential buyers, even if 380k means nothing to the majority of them. I just don't see any advantages even in subjective areas...

Lexus LFA lease plan
Owners will lease rather than buy the Lexus LFA supercar - in America, at least
By Stephen Dobie25th November 2009
Lexus will be leasing its new LFA supercar rather than selling it to avoid speculators. That’ll be in the US only, though, with European deliveries still due from 2011 priced at 340,000 euros (currently £307K).
The idea in America is leasing the car for the first two years, to avoid buyers hoovering up early LFAs purely to sell them on at a markup while numbers are scarce. It’s something that has affected the supercar sales market in the UK in recent years, but thanks to the recession, is only present on a select band of cars, the new Ferrari 458 Italia likely to be one of them.
Brian Smith, Lexus’s vice president of sales and dealer development, spoke to US magazine Automotive News about the decision affecting American LFAs: ‘We want people out driving the car and not just parking it in a museum or selling it at an inflated price.
‘If someone buys it the first month and then decides to sell it, that could be damaging for the ownership experience’.
LFA numbers are destined to remain exclusive, with 500 of the 552bhp, 202mph supercar planned.

Great car, you just wouldn't see then on the streets at all. What you will see on the streets is the Porsche GT3 RS, GT2, Z06, GTR, Vipers ACR, ZR1, Audi R8s, F 430 Scuderia etc, cars that many more people actually can buy and drive and for little money can be as fast as that LFA.
I know there are people that would pay the half million dollars to get one, I would ask them : Why?. Undeniably the LFA is very exotic by Dodge will built a 2 valve per cylinder monstruous 600hp out of the box that holds the Nurburgring records. At the end of the day the general public wants the simple, affordable performance and the LFA can't compite with the cars I mentioned above.. my .2c
