Question i dont know what to do?

Hey guys/gals so I have been doing a lot of thinking. I officially hate my car and I need something faster. Now let me tell you the reason why I hate my car. It has gotten broken into twice luckily nothing was stolen out of it but I feel like my car has been voilated by someone and I just don't care for the car anymore. Now I want something else and the something else that I want is the Evo of course. Now I love mitsu but Ijust don't think that my car is worth spending money to add performance upgrades to. And I don't think that it will be very reliable adding a turbo kit to it. And I won't get the power that I want out of it. Like I said I want an Evo but I can't afford one I'm looking for a used 9 but they are so hard to find and I can't afford it. So I might be going into the darkside and get a WRX. Now I love the sound of a boxer 4 with a turbo back exhaust but my heart is still with mitsu but not my 06 ralliart. I will be done paying off my car in 2012 and I really want out of my car. And for godsakes I lost against a hyundai tiburon sad I know so I def want out and if I can't afford an Evo I'm getting a WRX and no not the STI. Help me out guys/gals and let me know what you all think and please don't bash me for this decision. Oh and I'm talking about buying used not new

Id have to disagree with you on your turbo assessment but otherwise just get what you want. If i had the money i would prob get a STI over an evo. But that is just my opinion.

Moved to other cars, since this isn't about the Ralliart, thus doesn't belong in Ralliart General.

IMO, loyalty to a given car brand is silly. Go with whatever you can find that you can afford and fits what you want.

I personally don't think that for me its worth spending the $5000 bucks on the RRM turbokit when I can spend the same $5000 to put down on another car that is already boosted from the factory and that has a lot of aftermarket support (talking bout the Evo and WRX) when the Ralliart doesn't have any aftermarket support.

Find a clean 02-06 WRX, do some bolt-ons, tune, suspension/wheels, whatever and be done with it. You could have a really clean and decently quick car for under 15k if you went this route.

That's actually the route I wanna go. But like I said if I can find a used Evo 9 that I can afford then I'm gonna jump all over it. But if I find a WRX that's cheap with low miles and that I can afford it then that's the route that I'm gonna take I just want a faster car then what I have now. So that I can safely upgrade knowing that there is a lot of aftermarket support for both the Evo and the WRX and there is none for the beloved 04-06 Ralliart

I actually prefer getting the Evo 9 because I like the fact of having mivec but if I can find an Evo8 with low miles cheap then of course I will get that over the WRX but I'm getting married next year and I hate to say it but a used Evo is out of my price range unless if I can find 1 with low miles and cheap

i started looking for a decent eclipse gsx too but every one that i find it either has alot of miles or its been worked and i dont really want to buy a car that has been modded by the previous owner for the fact that the previous owner has beat the crap out of it so im lookin for a non modified car.

If you want a FAST car that hasn't been beat on, this DSM has been put together properly and words can't describe how clean it is (oh did I mention it's fast too)

aahhh, fudge, the link doesn't work anymore

Otherwise, you really don't need a low mileage evo, look at how many 4g63's are still out there running after 15+ years and 150K+ miles. You can pick up this 8 and be satisified with the performance for a long time when you compare it to the RA, leave it as is and just do basic maintenance. $4-5K down on this car and your payments would be quite small even with say a 3 yr loan (if you could get one for a car with that kinda mileage).

Evo 8

Car appears to be stock aside from the tint and being de-winged. It was probably driven by an older person wanting a fun car but without the budget of a vette and with the need for something that worked year round

I hate to state the obvious, but have you checked the FS forums? That's where I got my 9... you're prob not going to be happy stock for long, so why not pick up a lightly modded 8-9, probably from someone who has taken care of it, and save yourself some money and hassel. If you cant find one, I'd go for the wrx, or maybe a c5? 350z?

Well the wrx is the reason y I started this whole thread. I can't afford a new evo so I am looking for a used evo or the wrx. I prefer getting a car that has not been modified at all. Cause I think everybody knows that anybody that has a modded car lightly modded or heavily modded that they have beat on it. That's y I prefer one that isn't modded at all. As for the c5 nope not a chance in hell. The 350Z is only a 2 seater though I like that car I want a boosted car. So I'm looking for a evo or wrx upto 18,000 max I have been on ebay and I have found a couple WRX's around my price range that is stock.
