I've only driven my Evo X for the past 10 months, nothing else. From time to time I've had Mazda 3's try and race me. I was never really impressed with them but I assumed that there might be a reason they were trying to race me.

So I end up having to rent a car and they had a Mazda 3. I thought to myself that they must be somewhat fun to drive or may be quick since they constantly try to race my evo. So I rent this thing.... My 89 Civic I had in High School could smoke this thing. I have trouble trying to speed in this thing.

Driving this little crap cart really makes me appreciate my evo. I can't wait to get home and drive.

 

MadzaSpeed 3 is not a Mazda 3.

Speed3 is prettty decent, can't deny that.

I mean Mazda 3 not Mazda Speed. I've had these guys try to race me at stop lights and I just laugh. Mazda 3 with a fart can....

 

Cool story. I mean, you knew it was slow, you rented one, learned it was as slow as you thought, then posted a thread about your findings.

They are like the redhead step cars to the Focus. I had a Madza3 for a rental too. I thought it was going to be a nice, fun car. Wrong. Your findings matched mine. Not fun.

 

rentals are probably Mazda 3i, which has less power than Mazda 3s. My friend has a s model, I drove it a few times, my conclusion is, it's still slow.

 

They are pretty slow but handle decently right off the floor.

 

Mazda3 or whatever that sh1tty as car is.......at the end of the day, it's a ugly, nasty, slow, and Americanized car!!! I rather drive my 2006 Civic LX (My D.D) ANYDAY over that nasty car.
