What would you say and what would you rather build???What has a better top end??

 

Have you ever done research on how stout Toyota has designed the Supra? 700hp on stock motor...easy! The 3000GT is no comparison!

supras have made 1000hp on stock bottoms and 1200+ on stock v160 trans, they are still highly priced but WAY ahead of their time

Hell you can make almost 600 on the stock fuel system, you may still run 12's with 600 but you will get a lot of attention on the road

 

If the price is factor, then get the VR4, if its not then get a Supra.. I would take Supra over 99% of other cars.

 

Wow not even a comparison. I used to own a 3000gt(base) and knew about all the trims inside out and they are very powerful cars(twin turbo Vr4). But the Supra blows most cars out of the water potential wise

 

even if you pay 15k for a used 3kgt instead of 25for a supra you are gonna spend 5k ATLEAST in repairs on the 3000gt in the first two years almost garaunteed

 

If I had to buy it myself I'd get the VR4 since the Supra is so insanely over-valued.

 

Supra is a proven platform, the vr4 would be a insane challenge. So ask yourself are you wild or crazee...

every douche and their brother owns a supra, great motor and trans, now if only they wouldve put it in a car that could handle and hook, atleast the 3k can hook, and IMO the 99 3k = sex on wheels

 

Ive always wanted to get a VR4, power wise its no comparison to a Supra but i think accomplishment wise id feel more satisfied having built one....some day when i have a garage to work in lol...

 

i think everyone in here know the answer to this. 100% supra is better.

 

I'm big on originality as well. Supras are done to death and if you have the desire and the drive to follow through, I say go with the 3000gt and shut some people up. Besides, driving in straight lines is only fun a 1/4 mile at a time... lame.
