2011 mustang gt
Not everyone who rocks a mullet wants to do burnouts 24/7... speaking as the only person in my engineering firm with an accidental mullet. (I forgot to trim the back of my head when I gave myself the last hair cut. Yes I cut my own hair.)
412 claimed and dynoed at 435 we all know it depends on the dyno where the pulls were made,, i think that is something we have learned over again.
what is this like 8MPG

If all you said was that last line, I'd have guessed you were an engineer.
Looks pretty impressive! I was tempted to get a 2009 mustang and also a WRX before I got my genesis coupe 2.0 track. Not sure about the RA as I never did test drive one as there were none in the area. Anyway, I kind of regret not getting the WRX for winter driving, but the coupe with all-seasons is'nt too bad. I did get a lease so in about 2 years, it looks like there is going to be a lot of good choices out there for me; WRX (looking better with the new wide-body and wheels), Mustang GT and even the V6 is'nt too shabby (plus I can get a-plan pricing), RA? (although I have'nt heard too much about any updates), Subaru/Toyota coupe, or possibly a refresh/upgrade to the gencoupe or who knows, if the price is right I may purchase the coupe after the lease is up and drop a bigger turbo and put a cat-back on it...
svendiesel, you have to be kidding with your comment about Ford stepping up. The Camaro was dropped years ago and brought back, Dodge just started a few years ago with anything even remotely interesting and that's debatable with a 2 ton 4 door. Unlike Chevy and Chrysler, Ford actually stuck with their platform and kept the Mustang around. Don't forget Ford builds the Mustang in the GT500, which would be 500 hp, not 400.
I've got a 2008 Shelby GT Mustang, love the car.
This new 5 liter is going to be bad ***, if I didn't like mine so much I'd be tempted to buy a new one and do the same superchager on it.
By the way, I think highway mileage is 27.

Ford isn't late with the engines, either. Don't forget that the Camaro has been out for less than a year; the Challenger for less than two. Ford is pretty on top of it, IMO.
....Adding, Ford should be commended for not needing / taking any bailout money. And, their current and future product line is really attractive.
To Alan Mulally. I'd like to see a resurrected SVT Focus or RS offering in the US.
Exactly, Ford stuck it out with their muscle car when other manufacturers were dropping them left and right. They deserve huge credit for that. Then, when other manufacturers jumped back into the game (once they saw the success of the Mustang's retro styling in 2005), Ford didn't take long to step up their power to compete with the Camaro and Challenger.
