Ok well as you may or may not know I have the build for my Evo in the works. Which is a great thing and Im excited, but as for anyone thats been deployed knows you need something to pass the time. For me that was planning plotting what route I wanted to go with the Evo. With that in the capable hands of Buschur Racing I find myself with nothing to pass the time.

So with my Evo not even down yet I've started considering what my next build will be. Having the Evo built for AutoX and daily driving it seems the reasonable course of action is to build an all out drag car. I tossed around the idea of going to a supercharged V8, either a Fox Body, WS6 or a late 80s vette. Something I could make go fast for cheap.

But having thought about how I havent really worked on a 4g63 since the days of my Talon I considered picking up a 1g TSi or GSX. Getting further more caught up in my own thoughts I thought about doing somethign different and I thought about a Nissan Hardbody with an RB26DETT. But then I thought about it some more thats not that different I heard about a few of those being done before.

Then it struck me, a 4g63 in a Nissan pickup, the parts would be easy to source for the motor and Id get my fix on getting my hands dirty on a 4g63 again. It will probably need custom mounts which wouldnt be to big of a deal I think the real challenge would be the tranny and so forth.

Anyone ever heard of this being done? I did a search and didnt see anything.

 

Actually, I've heard of the swap being done an a 4wd mitsu mighty max.

 

Why not an Outlander it can already have a 4g63, i don't know in the US but in europe it did have a downgraded 4g63t.

 

Yeah my wife wanted to get an Outlander and I always had in my mind to do the swap (I never told here though lol) but she ended up getting a 2002 Ford Escape that we couldn't turn down for the price. When people deploy things go for good prices lol

Id love to do it on a might max but they are damn near impossible to find. Iv seen maybe a handful in my life and only 1 were the body didn't have any rust or rot.

 

Actually I found a few on Autotrader in decent condition. I like that Idea, feel itll launch a lot better then low light *** ended RWD Nissan.
