My old eclipse rs is coming back to me free of charge. Runs good just needs some attention. I was at a buddies house and he still had my old 7 bolt 4g63 out of my old gsx from a previous swap. He told me I can have the engine back if I wanted it. Would the swap be worth the time and money? I will be using the eclipse as a daily driver but would like the extra power the 4g63 would offer.

 

No, your motor and transmission sit the opposite direction. If it were a spider then yes its a very simple swap. Don't get me wrong it can be done but you would need to fabricate your own motor mounts and I believe the strut towers are even too close together to fit the 4g63t.
