Evo SE or used IS-F?

I'm looking at both a new SE and a used 2008 Lexus IS-F, they're both around the same price so that doesn't matter to me, the advantages of the Evo obviously are better handling and AWD and the lexus is more luxury. I live in Syracuse, NY so the winters here are horrible and the lexus is RWD so thats a + on the Evo side, and I wanted to go more into racing which the Evo would also be better, but the lexus is just so ******* nice!

What do you guys think?

Tough choice but I would say that it all depends on the mileage for me, lower mileage IS-F I would rock the Lexus probably. If you have a secondary car the IS-F all the way so you have something else in the winter to drive.

ISF is one of the worst performance cars you can buy in my opinion. If you do any tracking at all, stay the heck away from ISF.

IS-F is a LUXURY CAR, not a sports car.

EVO X is a SPORTS CAR, not a luxury car.

You decide.

Heavy car + Skinny tires (255 on the rear) + slow shifting transmission (compared to DSG)+ **** poor limited slip = slowest 400+hp rwd car.

Let's face it, Toyota doesn't make a descent sports car under $300K.

Lexus IS-F is a nice car... but like others said... it won't perform like an EVO. The IS-F is pretty much a luxury car with a big engine and stiff suspension. If your priorities are luxury... then go for the IS-F. But if you want an amazing driving experience... get the EVO.

I knew some guys who tracked IS-F's and they said you could REALLY feel the weight. Also you go thru tires and brakes like crazy because you are throwing around all this weight on the track.

depends on if the car is going to be a daily driver or not
for daily rides, I would pick the ISF
but if you're going to track more heavily, obviously evo

Like others have said, ISF is a luxury car, but lacks the all around performance of an EVO.

IS-F is a car that you actually have to own to know how it drives. (it's good if you know a friend that owns one) IS-F is really expensive to maintain, and it does not perform well like any other 400 hp cars. I rather wait and see if there are any used 08 m3s out there.

The IS-F is a beautiful car & the evo is mean and easy to mod.

At the end it depends on:
A. Do you have to take out clients a lot?
B. Are you purchasing the car to mod and extract HP
C. Do you want to track it

If you take lots of clients out, the IS-F is obviously more "luxurious" if your line of work needs that.

Evo is typically more affordable used as well.
