Couldn't agree more, LanEvo. 2g's look like a pile of dump imho. Looks aside, think of the possibility of crankwalk.

I dunno if the IS 300 is MORE worth it, but it's certainly worth the sticker price imo as well.

Personally those are two cars I wouldn't drive if I had to pay for them.
If someone GAVE me an IS 300 I'd loooove it. (hint for anyone doing early x-mas or late b-day shopping for me)

 

Well what do you want to do with the car? The gsx is gonna be faster and more fun. The IS300 is better looking and more luxurious. You're comparing apples to oranges without giving an explanation.

Agree with LanEvo and the 1G comment, just find late 1G GSX and mod the hell out of it If you're looking for high performance, the IS has its limits (AT only in 01, expensive parts)....

 

The best used IS300 I could find was $26k, most go for like $3k less than a brand new one Yeah I've been trying to figure out a wy to afford one for the last 2 years

 

IS300, its an awsome car. I think its better then the GSX and id get it over the GSX. But thats my opinion.

It all depends on what you want from the car. Something to drive the fam and kids in some style go for the 300. If you want something to mod and go fast get the GSX.

Actually, the IS300 is very capable of being fast, especially the 5-spd model with the $500 LSD option. Since its engine is very similar to the Supra TT's one and there are already several turbo kits out there for it. Chassis-wise, the IS's chassis is at least a couple notch higher than the GSX's one in terms of chassis strength

 

THe IS300 engine is the N/A supra engine. And there are Many parts for the car. When i was in HK it was a very popular strong car that was everywhere. I think its better then the GSX

 

If I could afford an IS300 there'd be one in my driveway right now.
