Just got my new 2003 Z06 dynoed

Just got back from getting the Z dyno tuned by a local tuning shop. Got rid of the evo a couple months ago and replaced it with this. Car was in need of a good tune mainly to remove the skip shift and fix the fan tables since the car runs really hot in racing conditions. All that is now fixed

Mods:
Breathless Vortex Intake
Some Carbon Inlet
Pac 1518 Valve springs
160* Thermostat
Stock everything else

376whp/350wtq

Any thoughts on an exhaust???

Was this the 385 or 405 year?

Base hp is 405. Common output whp on this dyno is 350-360.

I will eventually do long tube headers and cross pipe. I have some suspension and racing things i need to do first like seats and harnesses.

Nice flat torque curve. I love the top end pull on the Z06, even stock they pull pretty good. Long tubes will definitely wake it up! How does it handle compared to the Evo?

Out of interest, what tuning software did they use? I had a TBSS and did quite a bit with HP Tuners. In any case, I really like the '03 ZO6's; yellow of course.

SW is EFI Live - whatever professional version he uses

He said with long tube headers i should be in the 390s possibly 400 area. Cam will get me where i want, which is in the 430 area.

Honestly, better. Things i miss about the evo: Steering - no car has the tight steering ratio like the evo. The seats - the vette seats are terrible for autox or road racing.

That's it. I love the vette.

i was going to buy the 2008 c6 fully loaded with the new 6.2l motor back in 2008 but after test driving it a few times it felt soo slow in every way, the only thing i liked was the throttle response after shifting thats it..

i was getting a killer deal on it the sticker price was like 51k and change and i could have got it for 44k and they where going to give me 26.5 for my evo, it was a good deal if i wanted the car but i just could not give the evo up for the car

the new z06 might be different but theres know car that drives like an evo.

Nice car Mike! The insta-torque must be a welcome feeling. Cams, long tubes/full exhaust and you cannot beat the sound.

Nice C5 man. I was contemplating a corvette for my next toy. I was thinking a used C6 Z06 but after reading around on the corvette forums I think I might go with a base C6 (LS3) and with the money saved do a Procharger down the line.
