the 280 limit in japan, is only a 'gentlemens agreement' to keep out horepower competition wars. Many car sin japan [ skyline, evo VII RS, and supra ] all produce over 280hp, but still claim only 280hp. so nissian could make a turbo Z, it would be well over the 280hp agreement , but they would still rate it @ 280 even tohu its over, so that isnt really stopping them any.

If they don't they are outside of their minds! I'm sure they are seeing that their sales aren't up as much as they thought they would be as a result.

Can u show me a Nissan in Japan thats a production unit and is making more then 290HP???
I had a 1995 Supra TT and it didnt make that much power. If they make a 350z TT it will make well over 340 HP, and I just dont think they would rate that at 280

Are you kidding? GTR Skylines tend to put down in the 300hp range. And "your" old Supra TT had 320hp!

Im not familiar with Mustang Dynos, but yeah, that does seem kinda low. What was your big single set up? 441whp is 30hp or so off of BPU range...

skylnies generally put down about 320hp to EACH wheel, stock. and supras [as in import tuner just did] put out around 290hp to the wheels, try resetting the ECu. They said, if a supra stock has EVER gotten a lot of knock from bad gas it lowers boost levels, and stays in a 'safe mode' if you reset that, should go back to stock settings, was done and gained i beleive [dont have issue near me ATM] around 20-30whp. I beleive Mustang dynos also tend to rate lower than you really have.

Dude, Japan has a "Gentleman's agreement" where the top HP figure for any carmaker is 280hp. But we all know, some cars easily make excess of that. The Supra as stated did 320 with the TT, the Toyota Aristo the same 320 hp, the Skyline, at least 350hp for example. Cause of the "agreement" they would list them at 280hp.
