Should the U.S. Sti be respected?
oh yeah, and by the way-
if the street 206 was setup anywhere near as well as the EVO, i'd be all over it. LOVE the WRC car. and the Focus, too. if they sold a powerful AWD version with a little of the more aggressive styling of the mits and STI, they'd be awesome, cool cars.
but as an anemic FWD 4banger? please.

Dont be so pessimistic guys. As long as there is a huge market demand for a race car-like, then there will be some company out there making it to satify the mass. Nonetheless, I love both cars. I think the STI 2.5T boxer is badass if you ask me. I dont think subie is stupid enough to resk their name by putting in an unproven motor to match up with their flagship car. Also the STI spec-C is another badass subie. I hope they will incorporate alot of the features in the Spec-C to the US STI. Peace...
Moot point brought up by someone trying to justify the purchase they made.
If it's fast, it's fast. No excuses. Having more displacement does not make it a lesser car and having a new engine does not either. Parts are being developed and will continue to be developed for some time in order to mod it into a serious beast.
People who bring up crap like this tend to be trying to justify NOT getting it. I guess not all people can be totally satisfied with their purchase, although most STi and EVO owners seem quite satisfied.

and i agree with gemini completely.
